Clix

2017/Medical VR Headset/Personal Project

Clix is a VR system designed to bridge the gap between telemedicine and in-person visits. It consists of doctor-side and patient-side devices, each including a camera drone and a VR headset. This system allows doctors to remotely observe the patient’s environment through drone feeds while enabling patients to see the doctor’s surroundings, creating a more immersive and personal consultation experience.

This personal case study explored the potential of VR technology in the future of healthcare. At the time, VR was primarily used for treating mental health conditions. I saw an opportunity to integrate VR’s immersive, face-to-face communication with existing online medical platforms, potentially transforming remote healthcare experiences.
