Aura

2016/Travel VR Headset/ArtCenter Student Team

Aura is a VR headset designed to ease jet lag discomfort. It functions as regular headphones and unfolds into a front display during flights to play meditation visuals that encourage sleep at scheduled times. While the user sleeps, the device delivers light therapy to help them adjust more quickly to the destination's time zone.

This project focused on developing a health and wellness solution for travelers. Collaborating with a team, we conducted design research, ideation, testing, prototyping, and 3D visualization. The result was a VR headset that integrates light therapy and sleep assistance to help long-distance travelers reduce jet lag.
